<p style="text-align: left;">Looks like they are finally trying to create a &#8220;validated&#8221; patchset  that can be applied to your Solaris system without you the administrator ending up running around in headless chicken mode.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Yes, sometimes the old Patch Clusters would contain patches that would not work together or as on one occasion I have seen the SPARC Solaris 10 bootadm configuration get hosed for no apparent reason.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Come on Oracle/Sun time we had validated Service Packs.</p>
